Why us

Four reasons to choose Urban Smith.

Not a claim list. These are the decisions we make differently, and what each one means for the bed in your room.

01

Structure before styling

The perimeter frame, central support and leg positions were decided first. The look follows the structure, not the other way round.

02

Folds without looking foldable

Hinges and hardware are placed to disappear when the bed is open, so it reads as a bed rather than as equipment.

03

Sized for real Indian rooms

Dimensions are checked against compact bedrooms, rentals and guest rooms — the spaces the bed will actually live in.

04

We publish only what is confirmed

Any specification still in development is marked as such on this site. No load ratings or durability claims until they are tested.

Foldable, compared honestly.

A foldable frame is not better at everything. Here is where it helps and where a fixed bed still makes more sense.

Frame height is 30 cm (11.8 in) on every size — a low-profile frame. Add your mattress thickness on top of that for the finished bed height. Drawings show the frame with its 9 natural wood mattress-support slats. Slat thickness is still being finalised. Measure your room against the width before ordering, and leave clearance on at least one long side.
